Set within the grounds of Maple Trees Children's Centre at Matchborough, Little Sneakers Nursery has been purpose built for the children which it serves.
Baby and Toddler room
A beautiful area stocked full of inviting resources. Designed with your child in mind, this room offers safe play opportunities for the tiniest of baby to the most inquisitive of toddler. The baby and toddler room offers a well rounded balance of play and learning before your child takes the next step into the Pre - School area.
Pre - School Room
A spacious area where the children are encouraged to free flow and take advantage of the many play opportunities available. The areas include a lovely role play area and a quiet book area, as well as a wide selection of games and puzzles. Creative and messy play media is available daily which staff use, through play, to help the children to learn about letters, shapes, colours and the world around them. The children take part in daily discussions about issues such as the weather and have the chance to share their "news". The children join in with stories and singing in order to further develop their confidence and independence in preparation for "Big School".
Outside
This is an extended learning environment, where the children can free flow. A variety of activities are provided, such as, sand, water, mark making activities and a range of construction toys. As we are in partnership with the school we also have access to their fields and outdoor areas. Staff also take the children out on walks as much as possible in order for them to explore their local community.
