Little Sneakers at Lodge Park
The Lodge Park Nursery is set in a beautiful location overlooking Lodge Pool, can take up to 34 children, and offers the following facilities:
The Rainbow Room 12 weeks - 18 months
A lovely, bright, eye - catching room which is well stocked with various stimulating toys and activities to encourage your child's development. Beautiful panoramic views of the pool from this room encourage sensory awareness.
The Sunshine Room 18 months - 30 months
The more mobile toddler can take advantage of this large child orientated room. With activities at your child's level, they are encouraged to explore the world around them by self selecting their favourite toys and experimenting with arts, crafts, sand, water and all sorts of messy fun!
The Little Learners Room 30 months - 36 months
Located on the ground floor alongside the Pre - School, the Little Learners are prepared for the big step to Pre - School. The children are encouraged to take part in activities which are a little more structured such as table top games, threading, puzzles and role play as well as circle time where they will be able to join in with stories, singing and discussions. In this room the children will be introduced to colours and shapes and will start to learn how to take turns and share with their friends.
Pre - School 36 months to school age
A spacious floor consisting of a colourful play area and a well stocked art room. The children are encouraged to free flow between these two areas and to take advantage of the various play opportunities such as a lovely role play area and a quiet book area. As well as this there is a wide selection of games and puzzles on offer and creative and messy play media available daily which staff use, through play, to help the children to learn about letters, shapes, colours and the world around them. The children take part in daily discussions about issues such as the weather and have the chance to share their 'news'. The children join in with stories and singing in order to further develop their confidence and independence in preparation for "Big School".
Sensory Room Suitable for all!
A great alternative to the garden on those rainy days! Specially designed it incorporates a stimulating play area with colour changing bubble tubes, fibre optic curtains, twinkle carpets and projected images, as well as a colourful ball pool - a firm favourite!
Outdoors
This Nursery has a small enclosed area, securely fenced with the added safety of a rubberised floor. A wide variety of bikes and climbing equipment as well as a planting, threading and chalking area provides various play opportunities. Set in an ideal location the children benefit from walks out to feed the ducks and nature walks, as well as regular trips with our very own "Recycling Mobile" to the local recycling centre.
